Final Reflection PME 811

Looking back at my blog, it demonstrates strong engagement by connecting knowledge from academic papers with classroom experiences. When I reflected on my Personal Learning Network, I drew from multiple resources to connect to my ideas. I referenced Nuts and Bolts: Building a PLN, which reminds me that PLNs are not just about consuming but also contributing, prompting me to think critically about my role as a contributor. This shows that I am not just reading and reciting what I have.  I was analyzing the readings and connecting them to me as both a teacher and learning. My biggest takeaway is that professional growth depends on being intentional. Whether it is building networks, embedding creativity or defining learning. Education is not just about accessing resources but about applying them to your learning intention. If you want something to happen, you have to have the intention to do it, ot it will never happen.

My blog demonstrates strong connections with the course content, as I consistently engaged with readings to refine my definitions of innovation, creativity, and learning.  Going back to redefine my definitions challenged me to move beyond simple definitions and instead see these words that require action and reflection.

My blog provides clear evidence of personal and professional growth. At the beginning, my reflections were fundamental and did not dive into anything critical. Near the end, my posts shifted to a deeper analysis where I examined my teaching. My most unmistakable evidence of growth is in how my definitions of teaching, learning, creativity, and innovation have evolved. My initial definitions were broad, but with time, reflection and feedback, I developed a better understanding of the words, and gave better definitions that were more relational. This growth reflects not only academic knowledge but also self-knowledge. I now see myself as a more reflective educator who values process over perfection, and that sometimes it takes time to understand something fully.

Based on my engagement, knowledge and course content, I showed growth both as an educator and learner. I was always consistent and international in connecting literature to real-life practices and continuing to my peer work. I would assess my world as an Advancing Professional.
